Optional one-off fee: £500 (This add-on can be added at the outset or at a later date.)
This add-on is designed to support attorneys at the point when an LPA is actually used.
In practice, most difficulties with LPAs arise not when they are signed, but when attorneys first try to rely on them with banks, healthcare providers, or care organisations. This service provides structured, practical support at that stage.
What is included
1. LPA Online activation support (core element)
· Step-by-step guidance on using the LPA Online service
· Assistance with generating secure access codes
· Guidance on when and how to share access codes with:
· Banks and financial institutions
· GPs and NHS services
· Care providers
· Advice on avoiding common activation issues that can cause delays or refusals
· Practical alternatives where online access is not suitable
This support enables attorneys to use the LPA without needing to carry the original document.
2. Initial attorney guidance meeting
· One structured meeting at the point the LPA is first used
· Clear explanation of:
· The scope of the attorney’s authority
· Legal duties and decision-making boundaries
· Good practice, record-keeping, and accountability
· A short written summary provided after the meeting for reference
