What is a Lasting Power of Attorney?
A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) is a legal document that allows you to appoint someone you trust to make decisions on your behalf if you become unable to do so yourself.
What types of LPA are there?
There are two types:
Property & Financial Affairs – covering money, property and financial decisions.
Health & Welfare – covering medical care and personal welfare decisions.
You can choose to make one or both.
How long does the LPA & Will process take?
We typically draft your documents within one week of receiving your instructions. Registration with the Office of the Public Guardian for LPAs usually takes several weeks, as this is handled by the government.
Do you offer home visits?
Yes. We offer free home visits and weekend appointments to make the process as convenient and comfortable as possible.
Can you act as Certificate Provider?
Yes, where appropriate, we can act as Certificate Provider. This means confirming that you understand the LPA and are not under pressure to make it.
How much do LPAs cost?
